Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tulsa, OK, invites you to join as a night shift Ultrasound Technologist on a full-time basis. You will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, explain steps to patients, and ensure safety and comfort throughout the scan.

You'll operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, calibrate and troubleshoot as needed, and collaborate with Radiologists to provide high-quality images for patient care. A supportive environment emphasizes growth and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification or registry eligibility is required or must be obtained within one year of hire.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality ultrasound procedures for patient care.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure safety and comfort during scans.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment.
• Evaluate image quality and transmit data to PACS for radiology review.
• Assist Radiologists during interventional ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities

• The Ultrasound Technologist supports patient care by performing quality ultrasound procedures.


• Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the scan.


• Operate ultrasound equipment to provide images and data for medical treatment and diagnosis.


• Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment.


• Evaluate ultrasound images for technical quality, and exposure, and transmit to PACS.


• Assist Radiologists and other health care practitioners during interventional ultrasound procedures.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Must be registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• One year or more of Ultrasound Tech experience.
