Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System is seeking a day shift, full-time Ultrasound Technologist in Tulsa, OK.

The Ultrasound Tech will perform quality ultrasound procedures, explain the process to patients, and operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to support radiology services.

Qualifications

• ARDMS registration or eligibility with a timeline to become registered within one year of hire.
• Must maintain ARDMS registry during employment.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality ultrasound procedures.
• Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to provide images and data for medical treatment and diagnosis.
• Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment.
• Evaluate ultrasound images for quality and transmit to PACS.
• Assist Radiologists during interventional ultrasound procedures.

• The Ultrasound Technologist supports patient care by performing quality ultrasound procedures.
• Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the scan.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to provide images and data for medical treatment and diagnosis.
• Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment.
• Evaluate ultrasound images for technical quality, and exposure, and transmit to PACS.
• Assist Radiologists and other health care practitioners during interventional ultrasound procedures.

Job Requirements:

• Must be registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • If registry eligible upon hire, the technologist must become registered within one year of hire.
• Must maintain registry during employment.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• One year or more of Ultrasound Tech experience.
