Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.**Responsibilities*** - sonographic procedures according to department standard in a timely and efficient manner.* Provides patient education in the form of written material and/or verbal explanation prior to, during and subsequent to the procedure in order to reduce the patient's anxiety and enhancehis/her comfort zone with respect to tolerance of the procedures* Produces examinations that meet image quality standards in accordance to department protocols.* Submits images for physician interpretation.* Verifies accuracy of: patient demographic information, pertinent clinical diagnosis, and required technical results. Data must be entered accurately and in a timely fashion to provide optimalpatient care.* Verifies all technical data entry components are complete prior to the end of shift.* Monitors stock of supplies in imagining rooms to assure their regular availability by timely reordering, rotation of dated items, and by maintenance of a clean and orderly environment.* Reports incidences of equipment failure.* Actively supports organizational changes.* Adheres to institutional safety procedures as described in the institutional safety program.* Actively participates in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Works closely with nurses and physicians to achieve positive outcomes and optimal patient flow.* Performs job functions while modeling service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to ourpatients, families, co-workers and others.
