Job summary

Axia Women's Health is seeking an experienced Sonographer to join our Somerset OB/GYN team in Bridgewater, NJ. This full-time role offers 36 hours weekly with four days per week, no weekends, and a competitive benefits package.

You will perform MFM level scans, OB/GYN and NT assessments, review prior images, prepare patients, and present findings to physicians. Axia emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care across its nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program.
• Current RDMS certification from ARDMS in OB/Gyn required.
• At least 2 years’ recent OB/GYN and perinatal ultrasound experience including NT and growth scans.
• Additional ARDMS certification in Fetal Echocardiography (FT) desirable; FE highly preferable.
• Additional ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB).
• CPR certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform MFM level scans including comprehensive growth scans and NT according to protocols.
• Perform general OB/GYN scans.
• Review prior images and imaging reports before exams.
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, and position for views.
• Evaluate image quality and document data in patient chart.
• Maintain records and sterilize equipment between patients.
• Present images and preliminary findings to physicians.

We are currently recruiting an experienced Sonographer to work Full-Time Four days per week at our busy Somerset OBGYN

Location: Bridgewater and Hillsborough, NJ

Hours and schedule: Full-Time Monday-Friday four days (varied) 7:30-4:00 pm; one later evening Monday or Wednesday 12-7:30 pm; 36 hours per week and full benefits; no weekends, holidays or call.

Job Summary

• Must be able to perform MFM level scans, including high-quality ultrasound examinations including comprehensive growth scans (detailed anatomy) and Nuchal Translucency scans in accordance with approved techniques and protocols, ensuring the transducer (probe) is correctly capturing images.
• Perform general OBGYN scans
• Reviews any prior images and imaging reports prior to ultrasound exam.
• Reviews and verifies physician’s orders.
• Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures, explains procedures, measures and positions patients for each anatomical view.
• Evaluates images for quality and interprets images captured; calculates, compiles and records data from numerical readings and records in patient chart.
• Maintains patient records; adds medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.
• Presents images and preliminary findings to physicians and healthcare team.
• Maintains ultrasound equipment and sterilizes room between ultrasound patients.
• Utilizes PACs, EMR, and other systems related to imaging.
• Stocks and replenishes supplies as required.
• Maintains certifications by completing any assigned compliance and continuing education requirements.
• Performs other associated tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Formal education and completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program required.
• Current RDMS certification from ARDMS in Ob/Gyn required.
• At least 2 years’ recent experience performing OB/GYN and Perinatal ultrasounds including NT and comprehensive growth scans
• Additional ARDMS certification in Fetal Echocardiography (FT) desirable; Previous experience with FE highly preferable.
• Additional ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB)
• CPR certification a plus.
• Previous experience using eClinicalWorks (EMR) beneficial.
• Knowledge of specific order sets and related CPT coding a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately recognize and document pathology identified in scans.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of ultrasound equipment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Pay or shift range: $33 USD to $44 USD

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
