Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL invites applications for an ultrasound technologist role. You will operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment, perform procedures on organs, vessels, and fetal assessments, and report preliminary findings to Radiology staff.

You will ensure image quality and proper transfer to the imaging system for interpretation. The position requires high school diploma or GED and recognized ultrasound credentials (RDCS/RDMS or ARRT RT(S)).

Qualifications

• RDCS or RDMS credential from ARDMS, or RT(S) from ARRT, or equivalent credential.
• Radiology route may require ARDMS or ARRT registrations within specified timelines.
• High attention to accuracy in image acquisition and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and perform procedures on various organs and vessels.
• Report preliminary findings and measurements to Radiologist or Cardiologist.
• Record scanned images and transfer to imaging system after quality checks.
