Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama, is seeking a qualified ultrasound technologist to operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and perform ultrasound procedures across a range of anatomical areas, vessels, and fetal development. You will report preliminary findings to the Radiologist or Cardiologist and ensure image quality before transfer to the imaging system.

The role requires RDCS or RDMS credentials (ARDMS) and ARRT RT(S) registration, with additional requirements for RCSCC I certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Credentialed RDCS or RDMS (ARDMS).
• Registered Technologist with ARRT (RT(S)).
• RCS credential (CCI) in relevant area(s).
• Registration within one year for new graduates required.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and perform ultrasound procedures on various anatomical structures.
• Report preliminary findings, measurements, and diagnoses to Radiologist or Cardiologist.
• Record scanned images and transfer to imaging system after quality checks.
