Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a skilled sonographer to review sonographic exams, collaborate with radiologists, and dictate reports. The role includes scheduling biopsies and procedures for the radiologist and training staff as needed.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in sonography with 5 years of experience across general and vascular ultrasound subspecialties, and current RDMS and RVT credentials. CPR certification or completion within 30 days of hire is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in sonography is required or currently enrolled.
• RDMS and RVT credentials by ARDMS or equivalent are required.
• CPR certification or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Review sonographic exams to ensure imaging protocols and diagnostic quality.
• Review exams with the radiologist and dictate reports.
• Schedule biopsies and other procedures for the radiologist.
