Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, record high-quality images, and coordinate with physicians across various settings. The role emphasizes ethics, empathy, and professional conduct with patients and staff.

Candidates should have an accredited Diagnostic Imaging program and RDMS/RVT/ARRT credentials (or registry eligibility). BLS certification is required; some sites may include echocardiography duties depending on assignment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Imaging or Allied Health certificate/ Diploma or 1 year experience preferred.
• Registration in RDMS/RVT/ARRT or registry eligible; registry preferred within two years.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations in a professional and diagnostic manner.
• Identify and record anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images.
• Coordinate work with physicians and other healthcare team members; assist during invasive procedures when applicable.
• Supervise and train students and medical sonographers as needed.
• Maintain ethical standards and patient rapport; exercise professional conduct under stress.
• Possibly perform echocardiography depending on facility needs.
