Job summary

Sanford Health in East Grand Forks, MN is seeking a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound examinations in a professional, diagnostic manner and document findings. The role requires knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and operation of the ultrasound equipment.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Imaging, Allied Health Certificate/Diploma or a minimum of one year equivalent work experience is preferred.
Registration in at least one of the following areas of sonography is required: RDMS, RVT, ARRT, or registry eligible.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and recertification as necessary.

Responsibilities

Perform ultrasounds in a professional and diagnostic manner and document appropriate images.
Operate the ultrasound machine and utilize new technologies.
Coordinate work with physicians and the healthcare team, including assisting during invasive procedures when applicable.
Supervise and train students and medical sonographers as needed.
Possibly expand duties to include echocardiography depending on the facility.
