Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or 2 years ultrasound experience.
• AB/ARDMS or ARRT-Abdomen certification within 1 year.
• RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) registration within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of general ultrasound examinations (abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, pelvic, renal, vascular).
• Conducts both inpatient/outpatient exams and portable bedside procedures.
• Prepares patients, explains procedures, and reviews orders/history before examination.
• Ensures patient identity, documents findings, and communicates with radiologists and staff.
• Maintains equipment, documentation, and infection control per hospital policy.
• Assists with invasive procedures and Doppler measurements as needed.
• Maintains competency with two-dimensional ultrasound and Doppler analysis.
• Adheres to HIPAA and hospital policies; performs duties with minimal supervision.
