Atlantic Health is seeking a sonographer who uses imaging equipment and ultrasound to form images of the body. The role involves acquiring and analyzing these sonographic images to help doctors diagnose and treat medical conditions.

You will set up and adjust equipment, maneuver transducers, perform routine and complex studies, and ensure high-quality images are submitted to PACS with proper patient data.

Responsabilidades

• Sets up and adjusts equipment; manually maneuvers transducers to perform exams.
• Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures.
• Performs routine and complex studies and assists in imaging procedures.
• Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations.
• Ensures equipment is functioning; reports problems and locks/out equipment when needed.
• Submits high-quality images to PACS with correct lead markers and patient data/history.
• Maintains a clean, orderly department including rooms, storage, dressing areas and film storage.
• Maintains regulatory compliance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
