Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to operate imaging equipment and ultrasound transducers to generate diagnostic images used by physicians for patient care.

The role involves performing routine and complex studies, ensuring image quality, safety, and compliance with regulations, and maintaining orderly department operations. On-site work at our NJ facilities with opportunities to support a range of imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and adjusts all equipment and manually maneuvers transducers to perform exams.
• Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures.
• Performs routine and complex studies and assists in a variety of imaging procedures.
• Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations.
• Ensures equipment is properly functioning and reports problems to appropriate personnel.
• Lock/tag out equipment when appropriate.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS with correct lead markers and patient data/history.
• Maintains a clean, orderly department including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and other areas in the department.
• Maintains regulatory compliance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
