Job summary

Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY, seeks a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to provide patient care with diagnostic ultrasound under the supervision of the Ultrasound Supervisor and Radiologist.

Requirements include ARDMS certification, a formal diagnostic sonography program, and at least 1 year of full-time experience. BLS within 90 days of hire and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with ARDMS eligibility.
• Active ARDMS certification in appropriate specialty(s).
• Minimum one year full-time experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate sonographic equipment and perform diagnostic examinations per protocol.
• Manage daily ultrasound department operations and scheduling.
• Prepare preliminary reports and communicate findings to physicians.
• Maintain high professional ethics and patient comfort during exams.
• Assist with invasive procedures using sterile technique as needed.
