Qualifications

• BS degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related Associate's degree with a Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Must be registered or registry eligible by ARDMS.
• Non-registered sonographers must obtain ARDMS Abdominal and OB/GYN certifications within a year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound imaging and related diagnostic procedures.
• Adjusts equipment controls to produce high-quality images and prepares them for interpretation.
• Educates patients/families regarding procedures and exam expectations.
• Maintains room readiness and ensures proper documentation and PACS transfer of images.
• Performs and monitors equipment quality control and adheres to safety policies.
