Job summary

Olmsted Medical Center seeks a Diagnostic Sonographer to perform high-quality ultrasound exams across patient settings, including outpatient and inpatient care. You will interpret images, provide preliminary findings to radiologists, and contribute to a patient-focused imaging team.

The role requires completion of an accredited sonography program, ARDMS certification, and BLS certification, with readiness to work a rotating call schedule and collaborate with clinicians.

Qualifications

• Complete an accredited diagnostic sonography program.
• ARDMS certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Takes initiative to confirm orders are accurate.
• Reviews patient history for necessary information (lab results, surgeries, etc.).
• Performs diagnostic sonography to obtain images on all patients (outpatient, inpatient, ER, OR, and portable).
• Uses independent judgment to evaluate images and related data and provides preliminary findings to the radiologist.
• Performs invasive procedures as needed.
• Takes call on a rotating basis.
• Other duties as assigned.
