Job summary

Corewell Health in Clarkston is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform accurate and efficient ultrasound exams using the appropriate imaging equipment, with independent judgment and initiative. You will ensure high image quality and patient comfort while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities include following department protocols, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with the OB team to support diagnostic imaging across multiple modalities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in ultrasound or diagnostic imaging.
• Certification in ARDMS preferred and current CPR/BLS at hire.
• Experience with OB, abdomen, breast, or vascular protocols is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and efficient ultrasound exams using appropriate imaging equipment.
• Exhibit independent judgment, clinical skills, and initiative in imaging.
• Maintain high image quality and ensure patient safety and comfort.

Scope to Work

Under site designate leader, and according to established policies and procedures performs accurate and efficient Ultrasound exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

Qualifications

• Required associate's degree or equivalent Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
• Minimal as gained at student level. Required
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
• CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDE Cardiac 1 Year required
• CRT-Breast Sonographer (BS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac, General, Vascular 1 Year required
• CRT-Abdomen (AB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac EXCLUDES Vascular 1 Year required Or
• CRT-Ob/Gyn (OB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac EXCLUDES Vascular 1 Year required Or
