Job summary

Rapport International is seeking qualified interpreters for in-person interpretation to serve our Nebraska clients. This is an independent contractor, PRN role with flexible hours and requirement to have transportation for local appointments.

We are particularly looking for Ukrainian interpreters in the Lincoln area, with availability M-F 7AM-5PM when services are typically needed. Vaccination documentation and background checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Fully bilingual with strong interpretation abilities
• Excellent communication and active listening skills are essential
• Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• In-person interpretation only; must have reliable transportation
• Technical skills to learn/use online portal; printing/uploading vouchers required
• Experience and/or certification in interpretation preferred
• Background checks and drug screens required
• Schedule is PRN, part-time or less depending on languages; some M-F 7AM-5PM availability is expected

Responsibilities

• We are looking for IN PERSON interpreters only, you must have transportation to attend appointments locally
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
• Must have access to a printer
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• Background checks and drug screens required
• Schedule is PRN (as needed), part time (or less depending on languages spoken) and is flexible based on interpreter's availability and preferences. However, applicants must have some availability M-F 7AM-5PM as this is when services are typically needed.

Please note, this is an independent contractor position with flexible hours. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on availability, languages spoken and client needs.
