Job summary

Rapport International in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking qualified interpreters for in-person assignments with local clients. This is a flexible, independent contractor role with PRN hours, ideal for bilingual professionals seeking community impact.

Requirements include full bilingual ability, strong communication, familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and access to transportation. Availability M-F 7AM–5PM is preferred, plus access to a printer and ability to use our online portal.

Qualifications

• Fully bilingual and fluent in English and at least one other language.
• Excellent communication and listening skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and terminology used in patient care.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• In-person interpreters only; must have reliable transportation to attend appointments locally.
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers).
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred.
• Background checks and drug screens are required.

We have an immediate need for Ukrainian interpreters in the Omaha area.

Requirements:

• We are looking for IN PERSON interpreters only, you must have transportation to attend appointments locally

• Schedule is PRN (as needed), part time (or less depending on languages spoken) and is flexible based on interpreter's availability and preferences. However, applicants must have some availability M-F 7AM-5PM as this is when services are typically needed.

Please note, this is an independent contractor position with flexible hours. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on availability, languages spoken and client needs.
