Job summary

Houston ISD seeks a UIL coordinator to administer and direct support for UIL academic activities. Under limited supervision, you will initiate projects to improve curriculum instruction, student achievement, and community involvement.

You will develop training to prepare campuses for annual UIL participation and provide growth initiatives for teachers sponsoring UIL activities. The role oversees and coordinates preparatory contests and tournaments and serves as a UIL liaison to the community,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3 to 5 years of work experience.
• Licensure or Teacher Certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and carries out districtwide co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for students and teachers.
• Formulates and administers in-services and guidance for UIL sponsors via staff development and events.
• Analyzes programs and implements initiatives to improve student achievement and community involvement.
