Job summary

The State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB) invites a UI/UX intern to work on internal web applications in Madison for 15–20 hours per week over a ~12-week term. Collaborate with software engineers and business partners to design data-rich interfaces and improve dashboards.

You will contribute to clear, intuitive experiences, leveraging Figma, design systems, and AI-assisted tools to streamline design-to-code workflows within a collaborative, technically engaged team.

Qualifications

• Active student in product/UX design or related field.
• Experience with wireframing, mockups, and prototyping workflows.
• Understanding of user-centered design practices and iterative refinement.

Responsibilities

• Design user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for internal web applications.
• Turn complex workflows into clear, intuitive experiences.
• Participate in user research and iterate designs with partners and engineers.
• Evolve reusable design components and explore design-to-code workflows with Figma and AI tools.
