Job summary

Avalore, LLC seeks a UI/UX Engineer/Designer to craft intuitive, accessible interfaces for the WDP System web apps. You will translate requirements into wireframes, mockups and interactive prototypes, guiding front-end development with product owners and engineers.

You’ll establish design systems and component libraries, implement responsive layouts, and ensure accessibility standards. You’ll conduct usability testing, iterate on feedback, and document design specs for the development teams.

Job description

The UI/UX Engineer/Designer will design and implement user interfaces for the WDP System’s web applications, ensuring intuitive, accessible, and consistent user experiences. They will collaborate with product owners and developers to translate requirements into wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, guiding the development of user-facing components. Responsibilities include conducting user research to create personas and journey maps, designing information architecture and navigation flows, and developing interactive prototypes to validate concepts. They will establish and maintain design systems and component libraries, implement responsive designs for various devices, and ensure compliance with accessibility standards. Additionally, they will conduct usability testing, iterate designs based on user feedback, and document design specifications for development teams. The Designer will stay current with UI/UX trends, contribute to design guidelines for consistency across applications, and advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the development process.

• SECRET Security Clearance Required

• We are actively seeking multiple levels:

  • Junior: 0 - 3 years of experience + Bachelor’s Degree
  • Journeyman: 4 - 7 years of experience + Bachelor’s Degree
  • Senior: 8+ years of experience + Bachelor’s Degree

• Good communication skills, self-starter mindset.

• Professional proficiency in English is required.

• Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.

Work Environment:
