Job summary

The Boeing Company in Northern Virginia seeks a UI/UX Designer with TS/SCI clearance to lead UI/UX design efforts across sponsor applications. You will translate user research into intuitive interfaces and design systems, collaborating with developers and stakeholders.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in UX or a related field and at least five years' experience, proficiency with Sketch, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Axure, and a strong grounding in HTML/CSS/JS.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) or technical area
5 years of experience in UI/UX Design or Development or in a highly related technical field
TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
5 years of experience with user research methodologies, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to inform design decisions and validate user experience
Proficiency in UI/UX design tools, such as Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite, to create high-quality design solutions
5 years of experience with wireframing and prototyping tools, such as Figma and Axure, to develop and test design concepts
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals to effectively communicate design requirements to development teams.

Responsibilities

Conduct user research to understand end-user needs, behaviors, and challenges, translating findings into actionable insights.
Design and prototype intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and experiences, incorporating human-centered design principles and best practices.
Collaborate with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of UI/UX designs into Sponsor applications.
Develop and present comprehensive UI/UX design strategies, wireframes, and mockups to enhance application usability and functionality.
Create and maintain design documentation, including style guides, design systems, and interface specifications, to ensure consistency and scalability.
Perform usability testing to gather feedback, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on designs to meet user expectations.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in UI/UX design to continuously enhance design methodologies and deliver innovative solutions.
