Job summary

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) in Northern Virginia seeks a UI/UX Designer with TS/SCI clearance to design intuitive interfaces for complex sponsor applications. You will conduct user research, create wireframes, and collaborate with developers to deliver human-centered digital experiences.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field and 5 years of UI/UX experience, proficiency with Sketch/InVision/Adobe Creative Suite, and knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS basics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) or technical area.
• 5 years of experience in UI/UX Design or Development or in a highly related technical field.
• TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
• 5 years of experience working with user research methodologies, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to inform design decisions and validate user experience.
• Proficiency in UI/UX design tools, such as Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite, to create high-quality design solutions.
• 5 years of experience with wireframing and prototyping tools, such as Figma and Axure, to develop and test design concepts.
• Human-centered design principles and design thinking to create intuitive and user-friendly digital experiences.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals to effectively communicate design requirements to development teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research to understand end-user needs, behaviors, and challenges, translating findings into actionable insights.
• Design and prototype intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and experiences, incorporating human-centered design principles and best practices.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of UI/UX designs into Sponsor applications.
• Develop and present comprehensive UI/UX design strategies, wireframes, and mockups to enhance application usability and functionality.
• Create and maintain design documentation, including style guides, design systems, and interface specifications, to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Perform usability testing to gather feedback, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on designs to meet user expectations.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in UI/UX design to continuously enhance design methodologies and deliver innovative solutions.
