Job summary

Grambling State University is seeking a Sr. UI/UX Designer to work onsite with the Louisiana Division of Administration, OTS Architecture, Standards & Platform.

You will contribute to the State design system, ensuring usability, accessibility, and user-centered design across IT projects from concept to delivery. You will lead collaboration with designers and project teams, conduct accessibility audits and usability testing, and guide reviews to align design language with standards.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in IT, PM, BA, or admin services.
• Six years full-time plus three years IT/PM/BA/adm services.
• Associate’s degree in IT + three years in IT/PM/BA/adm services.
• Bachelor’s degree + three years in IT/PM/BA/adm services.
• Bachelor’s with 24 semester hours in IT/CS/engineering/math/business analytics + two years in IT/PM/BA/adm.
• Master’s degree + two years in IT/PM/BA/adm services.
• Certification may substitute for education and/or experience at hire or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Create and edit wireframes and mockups that follow standards.
• Lead user interviews and usability studies to understand user needs.
• Lead design and usability reviews for systems in development and production.
• Lead design reviews and critiques to support ideation and standards.
• Lead designers in troubleshooting user flow issues across projects.
• Conduct accessibility audits of systems.
• Lead usability testing and assist with user acceptance testing.
• Attend and participate in project meetings (daily standups, planning, retrospectives).
• Assist with preparation and refinement of presentations and project documents.
• Assist with creation of training assets.
• Develop the section’s document library and standards.
• Research OTS and industry standards related to design, usability, accessibility.
• Perform other tasks, special projects, analyses, and plans.
