Job summary

Aptask Global Workforce is seeking a UI/UX Designer for a remote, 5+ month contract with a leading technology firm in Menlo Park, CA. You will own end-to-end design from research through visual identity and a cohesive design system for the product portfolio.

Responsibilities include running structured design sessions, usability testing, creating wireframes and high-fidelity mockups, building and maintaining an internal design system, and collaborating with product teams to translate user needs

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of UI/UX design experience, with internal tools or B2B products preferred.
• Portfolio showing range across user research, interaction design, and graphic design.
• Proficiency in Figma for specs, prototyping, and design systems.
• Experience designing standards for vibecoded web apps.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent design requests across products, prioritizing based on impact.
• Clear communication skills for documenting standards and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Self-directed with the ability to ramp quickly through structured onboarding.

• Conduct usability testing on existing and in-development tools, synthesize findings into actionable product recommendations, and maintain a research repository
• Create design specs, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups for new products and features
• Conduct design reviews of existing products and proposed changes, and build interactive prototypes for stakeholder alignment
• Design logos and visual identity for internal products and services
• Create graphics and illustrations for user interfaces and communications
• Develop marketing and launch materials for internal tool rollouts
• Build and maintain an internal design system (component library, style guide, patterns)
• Contribute directly to builds through vibe coding, particularly marketing pages, brand artifacts, and lightweight front-end experiences
• Document design standards, research methods, and system patterns
• Partner with builders, product partners, and stakeholders to identify adoption friction and translate user needs into scoped design work

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a UI/UX Designer for a Remote position with a Leading Technology Firm located in Menlo Park, CA. This is a 5+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for elevating the design quality of AI-powered internal tools. The UI/UX Designer will act as a shared resource, owning the end-to-end design process including research, product design, visual identity, and the development of a cohesive design system for the entire product portfolio.

Pay range: up to $91.89 per hour
