Job summary

Nationwide IT Services is seeking a User Interface Subject Matter Expert (SME) / UI Team Lead to provide technical leadership for the design, development, integration, and support of modern web-based user interfaces and search-enabled applications.

This position leads the UI team and serves as the primary expert in front-end and web application development, ensuring that solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with mission and business requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software/web development.
• 5+ years Agile development experience.
• 5+ years ASP.NET C# MVC web development with VS 2019+.
• 5+ years of Enterprise/Search technologies.
• Experience with ElasticSearch; AWS OpenSearch a plus.
• Experience with cloud-based OpenSearch clusters with 10+ nodes.
• 2+ years React.js or AngularJS.
• 1+ year ASP.NET Core with VS 2019.

Responsibilities

• Lead the UI team in design, development, integration and support activities.
• Lead web app development using ASP.NET C# MVC and ASP.NET Core.
• Design, build, and support responsive, scalable interfaces.
• Provide expertise in decoupled development with message queuing.
• Support enterprise search capabilities and integrate with backend services.
• Guide ElasticSearch/AWS OpenSearch configurations for HA clusters.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and infra teams for end-to-end delivery.
• Engage in Agile sprint planning, reviews, and releases.
• Mentor team and promote coding standards and security practices.
• Coordinate UI with search, middleware, backend and infrastructure teams.
