Job summary

The Northern Trust Company is seeking an Account Manager within the Global Family & Private Investment Offices group to serve ultra-high net worth clients and their representatives in wealth management, custody, and related services.

You will work closely with the Relationship Manager, coordinating with internal partners to resolve issues, drive growth opportunities, and ensure top-tier client service across regions.

Qualifications

• Strong background with a good understanding of the global custody industry.
• Direct experience interacting with demanding clients or prospects and meeting their needs.
• Excellent organizational skills and comfort in prioritizing competing demands.
• Ability to own and resolve problems independently.
• Ability to perform under pressure and to be flexible with working when required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Independent problem resolution.
• Time and project management.
• Adaptability to work on a wide variety of (occasionally unique) issues.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted client relationships through engagement, effective communication and consistent delivery.
• Respond to client instructions and queries promptly and effectively.
• Independently resolve issues using internal networks and product knowledge to explain and implement solutions.
• Oversee daily client activity, transaction processing, inquiries, documentation, and fee review.
• Inform clients of substantive process or procedure changes adopted by Northern Trust.
• Assist clients in navigating Northern Trust systems, acting as primary contact for operational matters.
