Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an UH-60 Aircraft Mechanic in Huntsville, AL for a contract-to-hire position. This role focuses on phase maintenance, inspections, and subsystem servicing of UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters in a high-tempo environment.

You will work with aircraft systems per military manuals, maintain logs, and ensure airworthiness. AIT 15T and PMI experience are prized; 4+ years in rotary-wing maintenance preferred. onsite work with comprehensive benefits and a structured schedule.

Qualifications

• Completion of Advanced Individual Training (AIT) for MOS 15T or equivalent civilian aviation maintenance training.
• FAA Airframe Powerplant (A/P) certification preferred but not required.
• UH-60 experience strongly preferred (or other rotary wing with PMI phase maintenance).
• Phase Maintenance (PMI 1/2) experience and 4+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled phase inspections including teardown, detailed inspection, and reassembly of aircraft components.
• Remove and install major aircraft subsystems such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, and flight controls.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in hydraulic, fuel, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Conduct lubrication, servicing, and functional checks of aircraft systems.
• Maintain accurate aircraft historical records and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations.
• Prepare aircraft for flight post-maintenance, including ground runs and operational checks.
