D.O.M. magazine is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic to perform Phase Maintenance and Modifications on UH-60 aircraft in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on PMI 1 and 2, and extensive work on rotors, engines, hydraulics and flight controls.

The position offers a 6-month contract to hire, 10-hour days, Monday–Thursday, with starting pay of $34-36 per hour and per diem for eligible candidates. Benefits and a long-term growth path are available as the client expands in Alabama.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• UH-60 or similar platform experience preferred.
• Phase maintenance/depot level/heavy maintenance experience required.
• Aircraft modification experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform Phase Maintenance (PMI 1 and 2) on UH-60 aircraft.
• Carry out extensive work on main and tail rotors, engines, hydraulics, and flight controls.
• Implement avionics upgrades, crew compartment upgrades, and weapon system payload upgrades.
• Work in a hangar setting in Huntsville—on-site with the client team.

Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic - UH-60Overview / Job Description:Aircraft Mechanics will be performing Phase Maintenance and Modifications for UH-60 aircraft in Guntersville, AL. Phase Maintenance will consist of PMI 1 and 2. Mechanics will be performing extensive work on the main and tail rotors, engines, hydraulics, flight controls, etc. Modifications will include but are not limited to avionics upgrades, crew compartment upgrades, weapon system / payload upgrades and overall updates to the Blackhawk platform.Aircraft Mechanics will be working in a hangar that is based around the water / in the foot hills of the mountains. The current team is a diverse crew of people from in and around Alabama with quite a few military veterans / professionals from the Army and those who performed Defense Contract work with the SU. We are looking for people who wish to be with our client long term and who want to grow with hem as they expand their business footprint and continue to bring more work to Alabama.Pay Rate:Starting Pay - $34-36.00 an hour (candidates are eligible for raises once converted direct), per diem split available to eligible candidatesShift:Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (10 hour shifts)Employment Terms: 6-month Contract to Hire(or indefinite contract, your choice)Position Requirements:
