Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS seeks an Unattended Ground Sensors (UGS) Specialist to support border security operations. You will maintain sensor systems, perform preventive maintenance, and provide technical support and training to the team.

The role requires active CBP BI or TOP SECRET clearance, U.S. citizenship, and at least 5 years of UGS experience. Travel to remote deployments and collaboration with DHS offices are expected.

Qualifications

• Active CBP BI or TOP SECRET clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance.
• Associate’s degree in electronics or related field or equivalent training.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with unattended ground sensors (UGS) or similar technologies.
• Technical knowledge of various types of UGS and components.
• Proficiency in sensor collection, processing, and data transmission.

Responsibilities

• Maintain currency on types and abilities of sensors for border security operations.
• Assist with inventory and maintenance of unattended ground sensors (UGS) and related systems.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance, including alignment, inspection, and testing of sensors.
• Provide technical assistance during operation of UGS.
• Provide training to team members on UGS operations and maintenance.
• Diagnose malfunctions and replace hardware; verify corrections.
