Job Objective

This is an entry-level job at the store level. The primary purpose of this job is to assist the Meat Manager and Meat Cutter in providing quality products to our customers in a clean, friendly environment, while maintaining a clean cutting room and work area.

Reports Directly To

Meat Department Manager

Major Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service
• Greet and thank every customer with whom you come into contact
• Assist Meat Manager with pulls and rotation as requested
• Maintain sanitation in work area
• Clean front, top, and back of all cases daily
• Keep all wrapping supplies organized
• Follow all company policies, including dress code and wearing a name tag

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 60 lb. boxes occasionally and exert 25-60 lbs. of force frequently, and 10-20 lbs. constantly while handling materials and products. Must have dexterous use of both hands. Ability to stand and move about various workstations. Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects. Must be able to use knives and other sharp instruments for food preparation.

This is medium work requiring good, corrected vision and hearing, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, stooping, kneeling, standing, reaching, pushing, and pulling, including working on slippery floors.
