Job summary

National Capitol Contracting seeks a Mid Level Unified Communications Engineer to provide technical direction for telecommunication networks in Washington, DC. This onsite role requires an active Top Secret clearance.

You will design, integrate, and support voice, video, and data systems using Cisco CUCM, Unity, Expressway, and Microsoft Teams Voice while mentoring staff and leading modernization projects. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

Active Top Secret clearance required or willingness to obtain TS/SCI CI Polygraph.
5+ years of enterprise telecommunications and Unified Communications engineering/administration experience.
Expert knowledge of voice, video, collaboration systems, and supporting networks.
Experience with Cisco CUCM, Unity Connection, IM & Presence, Expressway, and Microsoft Teams Voice.

Responsibilities

Serve as the senior technical authority for enterprise Unified Communications environments.
Design, engineer, integrate, and optimize enterprise voice, video, and collaboration platforms.
Provide Tier 4 troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution for complex outages and performance issues.
Lead projects such as technology refreshes, data center migrations, and collaboration platform enhancements.
Partner with clients and stakeholders to assess needs and recommend solutions.
Develop and maintain SOPs, engineering documentation, diagrams, and technical standards.
