Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Systems Test Engineer II for onsite work in Petaluma, CA. You will support development, integration, and testing of VTOL unmanned aircraft systems, with 50% focus on testing and 50% on systems architecture. Travel to Oregon and Monterey, CA for field tests is expected.

Jama is used for requirements management and VCRM tasks. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 2–5+ years in systems engineering, with hands-on hardware integration, RF, and avionics experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 2–5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Integration & Test, Validation & Verification.
• Hands-on experience with hardware integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with requirements management (JAMA) and system verification processes.
• Experience with RF communications, networking, IP protocols, avionics, or aircraft electronics.

Responsibilities

• Split time between systems testing/integration and systems architecture responsibilities.
• Work hands-on with VTOL unmanned aircraft product and flight test activities.
• Collaborate with Software, Electrical, Mechanical, and Controls teams across product lifecycle.
• Occasional travel to sites in Oregon and Monterey, CA for in-field testing.
