Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

• Experience with requirements management (using JAMA) and system verification processes.
• Experience with RF communications, networking, IP protocols, avionics, or aircraft electronics.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, aerospace/defense, UAV/UAS, ISR, or autonomous systems.

Responsibilities

Job Description

A lead defense contractor, is continuing growth, and is seeking a Systems Test Engineer II to support the development, integration, and testing of advanced unmanned aircraft systems. This role will be required to be onsite in Petaluma, CA working full time at their manufacturing site on a 9/80 schedule (alternating Friday's off). He/She will be apart of a 30-person engineering organization supporting both R&D and production in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. This person will be required to travel (minimally) to their sites in Oregon and Monterey, California for in-field flight testing activities (which could include remote testing or in-factory testing). This role will be 50% dedicated to systems testing and integration, working hands on their VTOL unmanned aircraft product, while the other 50% will be more in support of systems architecture. He/she will be responsible for using Jama as their requirements management and involved in VCRM management. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy working directly with aircraft systems, sensors, communications hardware, and flight testing. Engineers will have visibility across the full product lifecycle and work closely with Software, Electrical, Mechanical, and Controls Engineering teams. This role will be paying between $85-125k depending on years of experience.
