AeroVironment, Inc. in Moorpark, CA is seeking a System Test Engineer I to develop and execute comprehensive System Test Plans for small unmanned air vehicles and missiles. You will support simulator, ground and flight tests, logging data and documenting results.

Responsibilities include test planning, data analysis with MATLAB/Excel, and coordination with flight test directors and engineers to ensure objectives are met. Light travel within the Continental U.S. may be required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Software, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace required or equivalent
• Typically no prior professional experience required in related system or flight tests
• Ability to derive test requirements with engineers from product specs
• Strong documentation skills for test plans, procedures and reports

Responsabilidades

• Support developmental test and evaluation of subsystems and full-scale testing
• Develop test cards to verify system and flight test objectives
• Review System Requirement documents for clarity and testability
• Participate in test readiness reviews, briefs and debriefs
• Prepare test assets and configure hardware and software for testing
• Analyze test data using MATLAB or Excel to determine results
• Record test outcomes in data sheets and report anomalies in tracking system
• Estimate time to conduct tests and work within project schedule
• Collaborate with outside test labs and assist technicians during testing
