Job summary

Platform Aerospace in Virginia is seeking a Deployed UAV Systems Engineer to install, maintain, and optimize UAV systems and related networks in deployed environments. You will collaborate with Systems and Software engineers to execute software development processes, troubleshoot, and ensure operational success, including training upon deployment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant software development experience or a degree in a technical field with strong software background
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
• Travel up to 75%

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support during deployments and serve as technical POC
• Develop software/firmware for payloads and implement algorithms on hardware
• Work on software/firmware for onboard flight computers
• Maintain and integrate codebases; re-architect and integrate new software
• Conduct bench and airplane testing during development and releases
• Assist engineering with analysis, tests, software development, integration, and QA
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot network architectures
• Design and implement business solutions using network equipment
• Provide monitoring, technical support, and disaster recovery expertise
• Document tests and results; assemble devices per documentation and support Vanilla platform
• Perform other duties as required
