Job summary

Protingent Staffing is seeking a Software Engineer (UAV Embedded) for roles in Arlington, TX, with hybrid work options and locations in Roseville, CA or Oklahoma City, OK as needed.

You will design and implement mission-critical UAV software in C/C++, linking flight algorithms with avionics hardware and collaborating with GNC engineers using MATLAB/Simulink for deterministic control and reliability.

Qualifications

• Requires BS degree in computing science, computer engineering, or related field.
• Experience with C or C++ programming.
• Understanding of OO principles and RTOS systems.
• Familiarity with SDLC and documenting software requirements.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement mission-critical UAV software for flight computers.
• Bridge flight algorithms and avionics hardware with high-performance C/C++ code.
• Collaborate with electrical and GNC engineers using MATLAB/Simulink.
