Job summary

Horizontal Talent seeks a hands-on Test Lead for an onsite, 12-month engagement in Boston, MA. You will own UAT activities and partner with business and technology teams to ensure testing is thorough, coordinated, and effective.

Responsibilities include leading test activities across the project lifecycle, developing test plans, reviewing requirements for clarity, coordinating with PMs, BAs, and stakeholders, and tracking defects in JIRA.

Qualifications

• Lead testing activities across the project lifecycle with focus on UAT.
• Develop detailed test plans, schedules, and resource needs using templates and processes.
• Review requirements to ensure they are clear, complete, and testable.
• Coordinate testing with project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
• Track test execution and defects using JIRA or similar tools.
• Hands‑on test case execution when needed to validate requirements.
• Prepare status updates, defect summaries, and tests progress reports for leadership.
• Support release coordination to minimize impact on project schedule.
• Escalate risks and issues and contribute to corrective action planning.
• Document end‑of‑phase results and support reviews and sign‑offs.

• Perform hands‑on test case execution when needed to validate requirements
• Prepare status updates, defect summaries, and test progress reports for leadership
• Support release coordination and mitigate release impact on schedule
• Escalate risks and issues and contribute to corrective actions
• Document end‑of‑phase results and support project reviews and sign‑offs
