Job summary

Platform Aerospace in Virginia is seeking a UAS Technician II-III to join Field Operations. Under indirect supervision, you will install, maintain and repair UAV aircraft and related equipment at client facilities in CONUS and OCONUS environments.

The role requires up to 100% travel, DoD Secret clearance (Top Secret may be required), and hands-on diagnostics of engines, flight controls, avionics, and subsystems. Level II requires 2–5 years, Level III 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience for Level II; 5+ years for Level III.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Ability to perform routine and preventive maintenance on aircraft systems/subsystems and ground support equipment.
  • Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting engines, flight controls, avionics, technology, and related components.
  • Familiar with military aviation operations.
  • Travel up to 100% CONUS/OCONUS.
  • Must possess DoD Secret clearance; ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • May be required to drive a vehicle with manual transmission.

REPORTS TO: FIELD OPERATIONS MANAGER
CLASSIFICATION: CONTRACT OR FULL-TIME
TRAVEL REQUIRED: UP TO 100% OCONUS
CLEARANCE TYPE: SECRET

This position may be filled as a full-time employee or 1099 Contractor depending on business needs and candidate fit.

Job Summary

Under Indirect Supervision in an OCONUS environment, responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all aircraft and related equipment. Responsible for monitoring, testing, preventive maintenance, and repair of infrastructure equipment and associated electrical, mechanical, and integration of sensor systems per specifications and operational procedures within Client technical facilities.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Unmanned aviation ground handling

Basic Requirements for a Level II

  • May be required to drive a vehicle with a manual gearshift
