AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern to work with experienced engineers on the design, development, and integration of advanced unmanned aircraft systems and subsystems.

You will gain hands‑on experience in requirements development, system architecture, documentation, and project planning. Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a STEM degree with interest in systems engineering.
• Exposure to requirements, design and integration through coursework or projects.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in cross‑functional settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing and analyzing customer requirements.
• Help develop and document system-level requirements and ICDs.
• Support trade studies, cost/schedule estimation and planning.
• Participate in design reviews and prepare presentation materials.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Software and Test engineers for integration.
• Document and track system-level issues, risks and changes.
• Contribute to test planning and verification/validation efforts.
• Gain experience with MBSE tools and best practices.
• Perform engineering support tasks under mentor guidance.
