Job summary

Skyeton, Inc. is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and integrate payloads, mission systems, and ground control for Raybird UAVs. You will work across sensors, autonomy, and communications to ship capabilities used on real missions.

The role requires hands-on development in embedded Linux, C/C++, and Python, with flight-test exposure at military installations and a strong emphasis on rapid iteration and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software development in embedded/real‑time systems.
• Strong C/C++ and Python with embedded Linux experience.
• Experience integrating autopilots/flight controllers and telemetry.
• Disciplined use of Git, code review, CI, and automated testing.
• Willingness to work at U.S. military installations and analyze flight data.

Responsibilities

• Build and integrate software for Raybird payloads and ground control.
• Write payload control, telemetry, and mission data software.
• Develop operator tools for real-time video, mapping, telemetry, and mission management.
• Bring up new mission equipment on the bench and prove data path end-to-end.
• Create test harnesses, simulators, loggers, and data-reduction tools.
• Support GPS-denied and EW-contested behavior in software.
• Triage logs and close issues quickly after flight test.
