Job summary

Skyeton, Inc. is seeking an engineer to lead electrical integration for Raybird payloads, focusing on power, signal, and data pathways. You will design harnesses and PCBs, integrate radios and antennas, and validate systems from bench to flight in a fast-paced defense environment.

The role requires hands-on hardware experience, strong PCB/layout skills, and familiarity with EMI/EMC in dense airframes. On-site work in North Las Vegas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of electrical design and integration on UAS, aircraft, or defense hardware.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium/KiCad/Cadence).
• Experience with DC power distribution, load budgeting, and airborne power generation.
• Har- ness and interconnect design, including connectors and build documentation.
• RF/radio integration knowledge for constrained platforms.
• Lab instrumentation for bring-up and debug (scope, analyzers, bench supplies).
• EMI/EMC fundamentals in dense installations; DoD testing environments.
• Strong attention to detail and hands-on hardware focus.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical integration of new payloads and mission equipment onto the Raybird—power, signal, data.
• Design power distribution, harnesses, and interconnects for airframe suitability and loads.
• Integrate radios, datalinks, antennas; layout RF path from air vehicle to ground station.
• Design interface and breakout PCBs in Altium to adapt COTS equipment.
• Budget electrical loads against onboard generator; manage power grounding and EMI/EMC.
• Bench bring-up and debug with lab instrumentation; support flight-line electrical checkout.
• Move prototype wiring to flight-ready builds for test and demonstration.
