Job summary

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a UAS Operator with Flexrotor experience to support advanced unmanned aviation operations across maritime, littoral, and remote environments. The role involves safe, compliant UAS flight operations using Flexrotor and other Group 2/3 platforms.

The selected candidate will reside CONUS but will support OCONUS mission requirements through regular travel to Latin America, with rotations usually around 60 days. Security clearance: ability to obtain.

Qualifications

• Experience operating the Flexrotor UAS platform and related flight operations.
• Strong understanding of airspace classifications and aviation safety protocols.
• Proficiency with mission planning tools and ground control systems.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic environments including ships and remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct UAS flight operations including pre-flight planning, launch, recovery, and mission execution.
• Perform detailed pre-flight and post-flight inspections to verify airworthiness.
• Operate and manage onboard sensors and payloads as required.
• Monitor aircraft performance and troubleshoot autonomy, comms, and subsystems.
