Job summary

Platform Aerospace in Blackstone, VA, is hiring a UAS Maintenance Technician/Instructor III to install, maintain, and repair aircraft and related equipment, and to provide hands-on training on UAS operations and troubleshooting. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to perform routine and preventive maintenance on aircraft systems and subsystems.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting engines, flight controls, avionics, technology systems, and components.
• Knowledge of rigging equipment and safe rigging techniques.
• Travel up to 75% CONUS and OCONUS.
• Must possess and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• May be required to operate vehicles with a manual transmission.

Responsibilities

• Perform unmanned aviation ground handling operations.
• Conduct UAV launch and recovery operations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot aircraft systems and subsystems.
• Perform maintenance and repair of aircraft structures.
• Deliver training programs to new UAV Maintenance Technicians, ensuring adherence to operational protocols and safety standards.
• Respond to and resolve emergency situations as they arise.
• Ensure standards are implemented and upheld in daily activities.
• Maintain equipment used to support aircraft mission operations.
• Analyze and interpret equipment log reports.
• Diagnose and resolve operational problems.
• Perform other duties as necessary and/or required.
