Job summary

DZYNE Technologies in Irvine, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer focused on electrical assemblies and electro-mechanical systems for airborne products. This on-site role collaborates with technicians and design engineering to document build processes, resolve production issues, and drive continuous improvements within an AS9100 QMS environment.

Qualifications

2-3 years of experience in manufacturing or production engineering (aerospace, unmanned systems, or similar).
Must be able to support 6AM start time.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wire harness documentation, and assembly diagrams.
Experience on the shop floor supporting technicians, redlines, NCRs, and build issues.
Experience with first-article builds, troubleshooting, and providing actionable feedback.
Familiarity with both mechanical and electrical manufacturing practices.
Knowledge of engineering analysis concepts and industry standards.
Experience creating electrical and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

Create, maintain, and redline work instructions, routers, and build documentation.
Train technicians on new or updated build and test instructions.
Review and redline preproduction drawings with Design Engineering.
Support technicians and Quality with NCRs and build discrepancies.
Design fixtures, jigs, and tooling to aid repeatable assembly and testing.
Support ATP execution and ensure supplemental test instructions are developed.
Improve build ergonomics and efficiency through fixture updates.
Create and modify Production BOMs, Routers, and Item Cards.
Act as liaison between technicians and design engineering to resolve issues.
Validate manufacturability for new builds and provide feedback on prototypes.
Participate in root-cause analysis for build failures.
Identify opportunities to improve yield and cycle time; support CI initiatives.
