ABSI Aerospace & Defense seeks a hands-on Developmental Test Project Officer / UAS Pilot to lead complex test events and serve as the primary interface among the test team, government program offices, aircrew, engineers, and fleet representatives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years in aviation/UAS, strong technical writing, and the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance. Occasional travel and Group 1-2 UAS qualification are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with 8+ years in aviation, UAS, or test fields.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in test, flight ops, or related environments.
• Aviation pilot/wavier experience or similar test leadership background required.

Responsabilités

• Lead planning, coordination, execution and reporting of developmental test events.
• Interface among test team, government offices, aircrew, engineers and fleets.
• Coordinate multi-domain cUAS and UART test activities and requirements.
• Develop and maintain test plans, schedules, and readiness products.
• Provide hands-on leadership during test prep and execution; manage risks.
• Lead communications and reviews; brief and debrief with stakeholders.
• Monitor progress; elevate issues and coordinate adjustments as needed.
• Analyze data; prepare reports and briefings documenting results.
• Apply flight-test instructions and risk-management practices.
• Obtain and maintain UAS qualifications; support flight ops when needed.
