Job summary

AEVEX seeks a UAS Chief Engineer to provide technical leadership and strategic direction for design, development, integration, and sustainment of advanced unmanned systems across air, ground, and maritime domains. You will guide cross-functional teams, align technical roadmaps with customer needs, and ensure secure, reliable platforms meeting DoD standards while controlling cost and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, electrical, mechanical, systems, computer engineering, or related field required.
• Master’s degree in engineering, systems engineering, robotics, computer science, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall technical leadership for additively manufactured unmanned system programs from concept through deployment.
• Serve as technical authority for system architecture, design trade studies, integration strategies, and risk management.
• Research and drive advancements in AM of UAS designs across the portfolio.
• Lead system engineering processes: requirements development, verification, validation, and configuration management.
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, electrical, software, controls, AI/ML, autonomy, cybersecurity, and systems engineering.
