Job summary

Forvia is seeking an Autonomous Production Unit Manager in the United States to lead the UAP team, oversee HR matters, and ensure production plans are feasible and aligned with group standards. You will manage budgets, costs, and productivity while upholding HSE guidelines and ethics.

The role requires 5+ years in an industrial setting (ideally automotive), 3–5 years of team leadership, and strong knowledge of Kanban, 5S, Hoshin, TPM, and GPAO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Management preferred.
• At least five years of experience in an industrial environment, ideally automotive.
• Three to five years of team management experience.
• Operational knowledge of production methods (Kanban, 5S, Hoshin, TPM, GPAO).
• Good knowledge of program standards, tools and methods.
• Above average communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow production plans and group standard processes; assure feasibility of production plans.
• Achieve financial targets: prepare and present the UAP budget; manage actual production costs and maintain product margin; monitor productivity.
• Manage the UAP team: staffing, health and safety standards, training needs, information sharing, career management initiatives.
• Implement action plans to improve functionality/productivity and meet objectives; adjust as needed.
• Coordinate resource planning with Industrial Engineering on stocks, equipment, staffing, activities.
• Maintain dashboards to monitor lead time, supply-chain targets, and HSE performance.
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the company.
• Participate in training to align with Faurecia Vision for Value Creation and Code of Ethics.
