Job summary

Tyler Union in Anniston, AL is seeking CNC Machinists to set up, operate, and monitor CNC equipment to machine ductile iron components with precision and safety. Our team follows The McWane Way—Safety, Environment, Communication, Teamwork, Trust, Excellence, Accountability, and Leadership.

2nd Shift. Starting pay is $24.24 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift premium, with benefits including low-cost medical, dental, life/AD&D, short-term disability, a company-matched 401(k), and ten paid

Qualifications

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC equipment for ductile iron parts.
• Adhere to safety protocols and The McWane Way principles.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and report issues.

• Learn and follow work instructions and quality checks.
• Measure finished parts with precision instruments.

Job Description

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Promote and uphold The McWane Way principles, values, and behaviors.

• Adhere to safety protocols outline in the Tyler Union Safety Management Program.
• Assist supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow ergonomic and safe lifting techniques.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any issues.

Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

• Follow Supervisor/Team Lead instructions for setups and tooling.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections, start machines, and perform first part inspections.
• Learn and follow all the work instructions.
• Measure dimensions of finished workpieces using precision instruments.
• Operate machines efficiently and safely.
• Mount, install, align, and secure tools and fixtures under supervision.
• Make minor fixture adjustments under supervision.
• Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or change tooling/setup.
• Ensure proper lubrication and cooling of workpieces.
• Verify and record first part inspections.
