Atlas Technical Consultants is seeking a Construction Materials Testing lab Technician for our Midland, West Texas operation. The successful candidate will perform soils, aggregate, HMA and concrete testing in our lab in accordance with TxDOT and ASTM standards, with opportunities to advance to field certifications.

Required are a TxAPA Level 1-A certification and 1+ years of CMT experience, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• TxAPA Level 1-A certification and 1+ years in the CMT industry required or strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and related documentation tools.
• Knowledge of TxDOT, ASTM and AASHTO testing procedures preferred, especially soils, aggregates, HMA and concrete.

Responsabilités

• Perform lab testing for soils, aggregates, HMA and concrete to TxDOT specs and QC standards.
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment and ensure compliance with Tex-series specs.
• Log and document test data accurately and timely.
• Support occasional field sampling and travel up to 25% as needed.
• Communicate results and anomalies to the Lab Manager and participate in safety training.
